today is new year's eve! sighh i really don't wanna leave 2008 behind! ): it hasn't really been a fantastic kinda year like some of my previous years, but i'm very very certain that it would at least be a better year than next year! 2009 is so going to be a crap year omg ): ah oh no, i've never been so pessimistic before heh but i really think next year will be horrible ): it's gonna be the most stressful and hectic year of pure mugging and practising for syf and whatnot! argh oh no why can't i just remain in 2008 and not move on ): they ought to invent a sort of time machine when i can stay put in whichever year i want! then i wouln't need to exist next year at all ):

okays nvm i shall blog about the past week first yayy haha (: it's been quite fun! hee ok on boxing day i went shopping with my mom at isetan and tangs! ((: hee omg isetan was like some madhouse lah it was super crowded and full of pushy aunties! but ah wells haha shopping is always fun no matter what ((: then rushed home some time in the evening to do srp! hehe (:

last sat was also dedicated to srp! haha sharon came over early in the morning and we finalised our report! did work all the way until like 2 pm in the afternoon haha (: but yayy we finally completed our final report draft! :D woohoo (: and filled up some forms for SSEF too yayy! (: haha then after doing srp we went to far east plaza to settle joyce's present! :D haha it's nice (: i shan't say what it is yet haha it's meant to be a surprise! :D haha (:

last sun i went for a harmoc concert with sharon (the harmoc one), jon loke and adeline at vch! (: haha yayy this super pro guy called willi burger was performing! (: he's super pro omg especially his vibrato lah omg he wasn't even shaking his hands or anything, but the vibrato was still super powerful lah omg! (: so cool! :D and haha the first piece he performed was clair de lune by debussy! :D wow haha yayy so qiao cos that song appeared in twilight too! (: heehee ((: and omg omg i wanted to smack the stupid emcee for his lousy pronunciation hahahaha he kept pronouncing "willi burger" as "willi booger"! omg lah, sharon and i couldn't stop snorting and laughing everytime we heard it hahaha oops! oh and he played falla's ritual fire dance! (: haha we almost chose that piece for our 2nd syf song omg omg so relieved we didn't choose it lah! it's the kinda song that's only meant for pros to play haha! but it sounded quite nice yes haha (: super cool (: and the encore song was damn nice too haha ave maria (: it reminded me so much of my first strings concert haha, the one where we combined with the handbells ensemble haha (: and ave maria was our encore piece back then too haha (: and i still remember how we sounded last time haha (: we sounded so nice and angelic yayy ((:

hmmm then on mon after harmoc we stayed back to help make souvenirs for open house! (: we're making bookmarks haha and they're quite nice (: and omg haha i think bojie wanted to tear his hair out just watching us make bookmarks hahaha! he's super pro at laminating the bookmarks but we were all quite nooby haha and he kept on saying "omg i want to faint already!" hahaha! :D it was damn hilarious really haha! and our bookmark making session was quite fun hehe ((: had prac on tues too! hehe (:

and argh ok tomorrow will be the start of a new year! i don't really remember much of what i'd been doing for the whole of this year heh it seemed to have passed by in a flash! or maybe most of the events weren't meaningful enough to be remembered! in fact, it seems as if most of the school year was filled up with nothing but pw and harmoc. but ah wells ok this year has been pretty fulfilling in some sense lah (: for one, harmoc has been pretty great really (: the people there are all super super nice, and this is really a wonderful cca man! (: and our concert was really great too (: it was such a success omg (: and being in rppp has been great too haha cos it gave me the opportunity to go for 2 very wonderful internships! haha the experiences i gained from the 41st amm were really eye-opening heh and not to mention the wonderful friends and other coolios people i met there! (: so yayy haha (: and psd internship was great too haha yayy (: and i'm really thankful that i'm in such a fun and wonderful class heh (:

on a more serious note, this year has been one of wrong choices and mistakes and failures as well as some petty accomplishments heh. throughout the course of the year, i also saw through the masks of so many people, even though i really took quite a while to see through these people. lol i guess my judgement of people and events and things in general is really quite lousy haha hopefully next year will be a better one in this sense! (:

(: and the log cake was super yummy haha there was black cherry yoghurt and hazelnut cream inside haha :D yum ((:

haha then after dinner i resumed my gift-wrapping and notes-writing session while waiting for the rain to subside! sighh the stupid rain made the whole day seem so dreary can ): and i was so worried that the rain wouldn't stop and then we wouldn't be able to go for midnight mass, and that would totally take all the fun and meaning out of christmas eve! ): plus, christmas eve was always more meaningful to me than christmas day itself lah, so i really wanted it to be a nice one! hee but finally the rain subsided, like it did last year! :D haha so yayy we quickly got ready and chionged out of the house to go attend midnight mass at sacred heart yayy! :D

hee we reached there just in time to get seats before carolling started! (: haha i like all the christmas songs yayy (: they all sound so glorious and nice :D especially the latin version of o come all ye faithful! :D adestes fideles! yayy haha see i get to learn a bit of latin too :p i think latin is a cool language haha yayy (: hee carolling ended a little before midnight and then the mass started! (:

haha omg the church was really packed lah, the crowds even lined the aisles all the way to front! o.0 i couldn't see anything at all from where i was sitting sigh, cos the crowds were blocking ): and we weren't sitting very near the altar too so i didn't get to smell the frankinscence! ahh ): haha but oh well overall it was still nice lah ((: haha christmas spirit in the air! :D haha and as usual there was the birthday cake for jesus haha and everyone got a slice of the cake yayy ((: christmas blessings yayy haha i'm gonna need a lot of it for next year man! ahhh and i wish i took a picture of the church! i've always wanted to take a pic of it during xmas haha it looks so nicely decorated (: didn't manage to do so though haha, maybe next year (:

then after mass, we strolled from our church all the way to cineleisure haha (: quite a nice feeling to stroll along the streets in the early hours of christmas haha ((: then we went to gloria jean's for hot chocolate! (: and my new phone was an early xmas present from her too hee (: then my dad gave me a german novel! (: translated by nicholas sparks haha yayy (: the original title was "true believer" i think, but this german version is called "Die Nahe des Himmels" (: yayy (: i shall strive to read it and understand it (: haven't read german for ages omg i kinda miss it ): hee (: val and mel gave me nail polish! (: one bottle was sparkly lime green and the other was watermelon pink! (: and the pink one was the hello kitty series from watsons haha yayy so cute (: and yayy i totally luv nail polish man haha (: godma gave me tweety bird pajamas (: and auntie pat gave me a bar of dark choc and the breadou thing! hee ok let's start from last week! :D heh hmmm okayy harmoc resumed last week! had auditions on 17th and then on 19th we started learning open house songs (: yayy haha we're playing all i ask of you (again!), under the sea and air on g! ((: haha i luv air on g haha it was my fave piece at one point of time in my life haha :D

oh and we did srp almost every day for the whole of last week! haha yayy we're making progress haha yayy quite happy! :D hee yayy ((: should be able to finish our report soon whew ((:

and last thurs we had outing with joyce! :D yayy haha ((: did srp with sharon in the morning, then we met vionna and zeggy at raffles place mrt! :D haha then the rest (margaret, zhiwei, elaine, kaiyin, and joyce!) were late lol so sharon and i went to lau pa sat to chope place first! ((: hehe and so lucky lah we found 2 adjacent tables! just nice for 9 people haha yayy ((: then waited for the rest to arrive haha! ((: oohhh and the food was quite nice yayy! :D omg lah lau pa sat is so huge gosh, it's so easy to get lost there haha :p and they prob have like over a hundred stalls! quite amazing really! haha and joyce was telling us interesting stuff about her school! ((: ahhh omg it's such an exciting life over there omg! so fun! :D i wanna go over too hahaha :p

then after lunch we walked to the mind cafe at boat quay! :D haha omg we took the longer route ahhh! haha cos we somehow walked to the esplanade area, so we continued walking to city hall and then to parliament house and then we crossed the road to boat quay! which was a super long route omg, because we realised that the shorter way would have been to take the raffles place route ahh omg! haha we were on our feet for like 1 hr i think? wow haha quite good exercise lah haha even joyce said that this was better than the hiking she does in italy hahaha :p but the walking was quite fun too lah haha! :D we were like chatting a lot along the way yayy ((: hee and we rested a while under the esplanade bridge! (: quite a nice place haha super peaceful yayy and we shared a christmas coffee from starbucks haha ((: yum (: oh and we found an ant in our drink lol so marg and sharon went back to ask the person to replace the drink! haha and joyce was damn funny can haha, as sharon and marg were walking back to the counter, she was like "ehh wait! drink more first! " HAHA. ((: omg hee i miss joyce! my super funny friend haha ((:

haha yepp so we reached mind cafe at around 3 plus i think? haha it was quite a nice place yayy! :D haha and omg omg they have damn lot of board games lah! haha so cool ((: hee at first we played this game called munchkin (: haha it was a bit lame and boring cos it was some rpg game haha, so after we changed game! haha played charoodles with joyce, sharon and vionna, then we played taboo and then ugly ugly ugly ((: haha super fun yayy ((: haha joyce and vionna were quite pro at charoodles omg! :D especially joyce haha her acting was really damn pro and damn cute and funny hahaha ((: and oh no sharon and i didn't have much mo qi haha oh wells! :D haha and oh man the ugly game was really super super fun hahaha! ((: and i think the monsters on the cards were super cute haha :D and oh no i am damn loser at this game haha, super slow reflexes man! lol :p

ooh and we order the black and white brownies or whateva they were called haha ((: damn nice! :D brownies and ice cream haha yayy ((: yum (:

haha yepp so we played games until like evening time then we went home! :D super fun outing yayy haha ((:

ohhhh and last fri was my last session of alife cip with this batch of kids! went to thomson plaza food court for lunch before cip, and i shared phad thai with my ducky yayy! :D yum (:

haha and omg this was a very interesting cip session haha (: firstly cos rosemary talked to me! :D woww haha ((: it was just a few sentences lah but still, haha (: and she even smiled at me omg yayy haha ((: at first i thot maybe she didn't like me or something lah haha cos she hardly ever responded when i talked to her omg o.0

and ahhhh omg i was being tortured by letchmi! the very hyper indian girl haha. omg at first i thot her hyperness was quite cute, but then she started torturing and bullying me! o.0 like pulling my hair! and grabbing my phone! and she kept putting the plastic lantern all over me omg ): couldn't concentrate on teaching rosemary! ahhhh! ): haha ducky is quite pro at not being bullied by kids haha ((: woww ducky! (: haha she told me to try putting on an irritated face but i just couldn't! argh! and bo jie damn nice also haha he told letchmi to go bully him instead, and then he told her "ok you can pull her hair but don't whack her ok!" and of course she didn't listen lah she continued bullying me, plus started whacking me too omg! sighh i think i know the trick already! i think little kids always do the opposite of what you want them to do, so next time i will just say "pls don't leave me ok!" then maybe they will leave me alone HAHA ((: aiya but letchmi is quite cute also lah (: and not like she means to be bad haha, she's just super hyper i guess!

and omg ziyan is so cute and endearing! so sweet omg haha i'm not in charge of teaching her, but she randomly comes up to me and puts her arms around me or sits on my lap! haha so cute omg ((:

haha i'm supposed to be doing srp now haha but i shall take a break from all the numbers haha they're making me go cross-eyed lah seriously! haha i'm really really very shocked at all the math we encounter in this project lah! haha i was just telling sharon the other day that it was so qiao lah, i remembered telling myself that i never ever wanted to do a math project again [cos like after the tower of hanoi project in rg, i decided that staring too much at numbers will really make me go mad] and haha i was so glad we were doing this cool physics project! lol cos i thot we'd be doing cool laser experiments and stuff omg, but i really didn't expect the math to be so hiong! o.0 omg and haha i still remember when mr sze was introducing us to this project, he was telling me that the math was really really very tough and so we should consider carefully if we really wanted to work on this haha! but then we thought this project was quite cool haha so we still took it on lorh! ((: hahaha should have predicted what we were in for man, i mean, since when did mr sze ever consider anything hard or tough haha! come to think of it, i think that was the first time i heard him referring to something as tough hahaha. but oh wells, math aside, i really think our project is quite cool yayy haha ((: it's so interesting haha yayy! :D just that, yeahh the math kinda stinks sometimes haha omg i think if i didn't have a nice partner and nice professor to work with, i'd just stab myself several times and tear my hair out, and then stab myself several times again hahaha. but yayy haha at least i have a nice partner and nice professor and interesting topic to work on! :D so yayy haha ((:

(: haha it was raining damn heavily lah so dreary omg! and i had to go for harmoc exco meeting with our conductor! and the rain made it so hard for me to get there lah omg i took a bus to the braddell bus stop and then i had to make my way through all the puddles, just to find that the gate was locked! ): then i called my ducky and asked her to help me open the gate from the inside! and it was locked from the inside too omg what's wrong with them lah srsly ): yeahh then i met jon loke at the gate too and so both of us walked in the rain all the way to the ri main gate )): sighhh. haha walking with jon loke is quite funny hahaha really xD i dunno why also lol! like when i saw this taxi, i was jokingly suggesting that we just hop onto the cab cos i was quite tired of walking in the rain! and then he was like "huh, cat? as in the miaow kind?" anyway exco meeting was long and dreary as usual haha but at least we were productive so yayy ((: haha and omg i think we have a lot of things to do for next year man! jiayou us! on thurs we went back to our old house! lol i sorta forgot how it looked like already haha and omg i totally forgot about the large number of toys i left behind in my bedroom hehe omg they're still there lah! i feel quite paiseh for leaving them there haha but it's ok i shall visit you all kayy ((: heh then we went to west coast plaza! (: haha interesting place, but not all the shops were open yet ): heh we went to coffee bean for lunch! haha then today i met evee before harmoc cip and we went to watch bolt! (: haha it's damn nice man haha super cute and the storyline rocks too (: i like bolt and mittens haha they're super cute (: and i like the song too haha ((: then we ate yami yoghurt for lunch and shared a sushi (: then walked around the supermarket for a while, before going for cip! haha today we made the kids play jingle bells together (: haha they're amusing lah really, attention span damn short haha lol! but oh wells (: they're quite fun to work with really ((:

then after cip i had srp! haha met sharon and prof kwek at spinelli and we discussed a lot a lot of things! and we did a computer programme thing too haha (: and omg our meeting was damn long can, it ended so late lah faints. then met my parent at magic wok for dinner ((: haha okies next few weeks will be damn hiong lah! so much srp to do! sharon let's jiayou kayy! my internship is over! today was my last day omg! sighh time passed so quickly omg, i can't believe this is the end of my attachment! o.0 sighh i'll really miss my entire dept omg! ): you've all been a really fun and warm bunch! thanks so much for all the memories and everything okayy! :D i'll never forget my experience here! thanks for making it such a memorable one haha ((: yayy pso rocks! :D i've learnt a lot during my time here, and i'm truly grateful for this opportunity yayy (:

okies haha i shall start recounting from friday haha (: last day of excel fest! :D haha i didn't really do much the whole day, except to follow the photographer around and help jot down the names of people who took photographs! (: haha the photography thingy was really quite cool haha (: there's this board that says "i am a good idea because..." and people are supposed to write their own answers on the board and then hold up the board and take a picture! (: haha and if they do that then they'll get a sticker which will help them qualify for the lucky draw! :D haha so yeahh that's why some people were motivated to take part in this i guess haha (: so yepp anyway all i had to do was get their names and where they were from, and then give them the stickers (: haha yepp quite fun lah haha and some of the people were super amusing! :D haha someone wrote "i am a good idea because i'm sexy" HAHA. and some other people were so shy at having their picture taken, they wanted to cover their face with the board hahaha! :D and a few people wanted me to take picture with them haha but i couldn't lol! haha they were like, "orhh i thought can take picture with mei nu/pretty girl! cheyy! " hahaha yayy thanks thanks haha! :D then some people just looked positively freaked out when we asked them to take part haha! :D someone scampered away omg o.0 and some people complained that their brains weren't working and so they couldn't think of how to fill in the blanks haha! :D then some people were like,"don't put my picture on the internet ahh!" HAHAHA really quite cute! :D

haha then after that, ren jie, choo jun and i had to leave earlier cos we had to go for the closing session of the centralized program thingy at nlb! haha we left with elaine and the 3 others who were attached to prison services haha cos they were at excel fest too! :D haha we walked there leh omg! :D so healthy right! yayy haha ((:

lol the closing session was quite boring really! but listening to other interns share about their projects was quite interesting though! (: haha i think zhen er's project was cool! economics of crime haha ((: and i think the prisons services project was damn cool too! ((: haha ooh and there was so much food there omg, all the sandwiches! damn nice lah really haha i think i ate a lot omg omg! i might easily have finished 1/3 the sandwiches in the room lol! feel so piggy hehe!

haha on saturday, auntie gladis came over for a while to pass us some stuff she brought back from her pilgrimage to naju! (: wow haha she brought us some bottles of holy water and rosaries for everyone yayy! (: the rosaries look so nice omg ((: the one for my dad looks just like the kind the priest uses, and my mom's was cool too haha the beads were in the shape of roses (: and for mine, the beads were in the shape of flowers! (: yayy haha so cool! (: and my mom had a cool apron too haha it looked very cute haha ((: ooh and i had a nice bracelet too yayy (: and and and omg she bought us food too! (: haha like chestnut chocolates and pumpkin sweets and seaweed chocolate! :D wow yummy! haha yayy ((: so sweet of her lah really! (:

then on sunday (yesterday), i met sharon in the evening for srp! haha we ate dinner at take 5 ((: then we went to the starbucks at united square haha and we both took the java chip coffee yayy ((: haha then we tried to work on our homework hehe but then got stuck again after a while ahhhh! ):

ooh and my dad bought me a little miss sunshine t shirt yayy omg so cute! :D haha i luv mr men and little miss omg they're damn cute lah hahaha! xD my favourite cartoon next to sesame street and hello kitty haha ((: oh oh and they're showing mr men and little miss on okto everyday! 1:30 pm! (: i shall go watch when i'm free omg ((:

haha then today, my whole dept reported to work at 11 am haha so late yayy ((: ooh and i went to loong fatt to buy tau sar piah before going to work hehe (: they're famous for tau sar piah haha and the best thing is that their shop is near my house woohoo! (: haha yepp so i bought 3 boxes for my colleagues haha yayy :D

then reached office and did some work haha (: researching on stuff lah haha and emailing my usual friends at the same time haha (: min jia, rachel and hongchuan! thx for being my constant email buddies throughout the whole of my internship kayy! :D yayy haha (: and i think lotus notes is really cool yayy haha ((: then went for lunch with some of my colleagues: vicky, chong hock, wen kang and joanna! :D haha yayy omg feel so paiseh again haha cos chong hock treated me to lunch at marutama ramen at central mall! :D and then vicky treated me to azabu sabo ice cream! (: omg omg haha yayy thanks lots kayy! :D haha ooh the ramen rocked haha it was damn yummy haha ((: and having lunch with you all rocked too really haha (: lol today i found it easier to talk more during lunch haha i guess it's because i've warmed up to you guys lah (: but oh no why do i always take so long to warm up to people omg, by the time i've adapted myself, it's time to leave already argh! ):

oh and yayy during lunch, chong hock told me that the report i submitted was quite well written! (: a lot of fresh perspectives and the ideas were very sound! ((: omg haha i felt so happy when i heard it, i think i was grinning like an idiot throughout lunch! :D haha i dunno why, but i felt really pleased and thrilled haha ((: i think it's the sense of accomplishment haha and the knowledge that i actually did something meaningful during my time here, and that in my bosses' opinion, i did a good job! xD so yayy haha ((: i'm proud of myself! xD

ahaha and omg so cool, joanna's sis is a chemical engineer! xD wowwww! (: so smart haha ((: and chong hock so funny haha i was asking him about studying in germany, then he said the courses are mostly in german, but after a while he just forgot that everything was in german, cos he took mechanical engineering, and it was mostly math and equations and stuff hahaha lol! (:

hee and omg after lunch, vicky and joanna and i went to charles and keith to look at shoes HAHA so chong hock and wen kang went back to office first! hehe cos vicky was saying that when she was there the other day, she saw this damn nice pair of red shoes and she tried to resist buying it haha but today she finally gave in and decided to go try on that pair of shoes haha (: so yeahh we went there, and then hahaha she discovered that the pair of red shoes she was talking about, was actually a pair of brown shoes hahaha she saw the colour wrongly! hee but anyway yepp the shoes looked nice! :D very hot haha xD lol so she tried it on haha and then she did a little tap dance in it hahahah so cute lah seriously! xD ahaha! (: then she asked me to try on the shoes for fun haha so yeahh i just tried it on for fun lorh haha ((: omg i have the same shoe size as vicky woohoo! xD haha yayy my fellow big-foot friend! (: hee joanna has smaller feet haha, which i still think is nicer for girls haha but whateva! big feet give you extra stability yayy ((:

haha then after that we walked back to office haha ((: then went back to my research, until like 4 something when i started distributing the tau sar piah to everyone! (: haha i actually wanted to distribute to everyone in the morning when the tau sar piah was still warm and fresh from the oven, but then everyone was too full from breakfast! o.0 so yepp i waited until teatime lorh! (: hee but i'm glad it still tasted quite good apparently ((: yepp then after that the tech staff came and then i had to return my laptop, and then they terminated my email account too, so that was the end of my researching and emailing my friends yepp! ): ahhhh ): and it was then that the realization that today was my last day just hit me! ): sighh. ohh and then chong hock was discussing with me some of the ideas that i included in my extra research! i.e. the stuff i was working on after submitting the report yayy haha ((: apparently the ideas were quite sound too yayy haha (: and lol he was telling me a lot of cheem and interesting stuff which i shouldn't say here haha cos it's semi-confidential yayy haha! (: and omg i think he's really smart haha from the way he talks, i can gather that he's damn learned and knowledgeable haha so cool omg! i wish i could just spout cheem stuff like that lah it's really impressive omg! ((:

okies haha i'm really really glad i went for this internship! haha even though it took up a lot of my time, but it was a great experience! really meaningful haha (: i really wouldn't mind coming back here to work! haha ((: it's interesting yes yes (: haha yepp i think i quite like civil service work haha! (: and the working environment rocks too yayy ((:
